Three-Cup Beef Sauce

This mouthwatering beef dish was inspired by a Taiwanese dish called Three-Cup Chicken. In this instance I’ve used beef instead of chicken and turned it into a sauce rather than a dry stir fry. You can make this in less than 30mins, it’s delicious and I’m sure you’ll enjoy it.


Diced Beef
Spring Onions
Knorr Cubes
Black Pepper
Toasted Sesame Oil
1 Tablespoon of Minced Garlic or 5 Cloves of Garlic
1 Tablespoon of Minced Ginger
50ml Light Soy Sauce
1 Small Handful of Chinese Basil leaves, or Thai or Italian Sweet basil,
1 or 2 Scotch Bonnets (if you like it hot) medium red chilli,
Serve with Jasmine or Basmati Rice


Wash the beef thoroughly with lemon or lime, heat Wok over high heat and add some olive oil. When the oil is hot, add the onions, let it brown then add the beef, season with salt, basil, black pepper, knorr cubes and soy sauce. Stir fry it for 5mins, add the toasted sesame oil garlic and ginger and stir, drizzle some water over it so it doesn’t dry up. Bring to boil and let it simmer for about 20mins on medium heat then add the spring onions and mixed red and green peppers to add colour and a touch of fresh coriander which adds lovely flavouring to the sauce. Leave it for another 5mins and set aside. Serve with steamed Jasmine or Basmati rice. Bon Appetit Tout Le Monde!!!! 🙂
