Sri Lankan Style Chicken Curry

So I’m not usually a big fan of Curries but this is just delicious!! I mean the beauty of a Curry is that you can do almost anything to it. You can add different flavours, it can go with different proteins e.t.c. What I love the most about curries is that you have a wide variety from different parts of Asia. Tonight we’re going to Sri Lanka! Bon Appétit!!


Chicken Breast

2 Onions

4 Cloves Garlic


Black Pepper


Fresh Coriander

1 Tin Coconut Milk

Fresh Chillies

1 Tbs Turmeric

1Tbs Mild Curry Powder

1Tbs Garam Masala

1Tbs Cumin

Coriander Seeds (Optional)

Bay Leaf

Olive Oil

1 Tin of Chopped Tomatoes

Firstly wash the chicken with salt, lime, lemon or vinegar. Place the chicken in a clean pan. Once the pan is heated, add olive oil, onions, garlic, ginger, salt and black Pepper. Saute for about 5 minutes. Once chicken is almost done, add the, turmeric and the rest of the spices and also the tomatoes and let it simmer for about 15 minutes. Then finally add coconut milk and fresh coriander at the end.
